The Portland House Tea Room at our hotel was a delightful surprise. As a British-born individual, I have a deep appreciation for a traditional afternoon tea, and I must say that the offerings here did not disappoint. The selection of drinks, including various teas and locally made cakes, was quite impressive. My personal favorite was the cream tea, which was perfectly complemented by the warm scones and clotted cream. One evening, we decided to try out the Worth Your Salt Barbecue Co, located just a short distance away. The barbecue dishes were cooked to perfection, and the cozy ambiance of the restaurant added to the overall dining experience. Whether you're in the mood for a classic afternoon tea or some flavorful barbecue, the surrounding eateries offer a diverse range of options to satisfy any craving. I would definitely recommend trying out these culinary gems during your visit.
